Action figures based on the characters of slavery-era flick are for sale -- which has gotten some folks pretty steamed. Project Islamic Hope and "a coalition of African-American community leaders" are calling for a boycott of the toys. Najee Ali, director of Project Islamic Hope, called the figures "a slap in the face of our ancestors... We feel that it trivializes the horrors of slavery and what African Americans experienced."
Unlike director Spike Lee, who has blasted the movie for using the N-word more than 100 times, Ali says his objections were not with the film, which he says he liked and has seen twice.
